Abstract – The conference was an opportunity to discuss some philosophical-legal issues, starting with the novel ‘Das Totenschiff’ (‘The Death Ship‘) by Bruno Traven. Among various topics, we seek to highlight the anti-formalist and anti-legalistic elements, as well as a critique of the coactivist view of law and its reduction to economic dynamics, through the enhancement of the dimension of reasonableness, citizenship and migration.
