L’evoluzione delle questioni di fine vita in Francia
DI ROBERTA NOBILE
ABSTRACT – This article aims to examine the evolution of end-of-life issues
in France, underlining the legislative progress on patient and end-of-life
rights, up to today’s law Claeys-Leonetti, and retracing the main stages that
have marked over the years the process of maturation of the reflection of
the Comité Consultatif national d’éthique. It also examines French
developments in the field of jurisprudence, stressing in particular the affaire
Lambert, which had divided and inflamed public opinion, in which the
media clamor met the tragedy of the family, making urgent and necessary
the need to regulate the issue of the end of life. Finally, mention is made of
the recent innovations introduced by the latest opinion of the CCNE and
the example of participatory democracy represented by the Convention
Cytoienne Cese sur la fin de vie.
