ABSTRACT – This paper aims to demonstrate how the precautionary principle also involves an administrative action on public health and, in particular, in the field of immunobiology. The food for thought is both the recent d.l. 7 June 2017, n. 73, which makes ten vaccinations compulsory in Italy and the orientation of administrative jurisprudence. The application of the above-mentioned principle to the medical field arouses, however, various concerns since certain individual liberties are sacrificed for the management of collective risk.
