ABSTRACT – The figure of non-pecuniary damage from loss of the relative has always been at the center of a close dispute, which revolves around the question of the exact identification of those entitled to act to repair the prejudices suffered. Some recent arrests of the jurisprudence of merit and legitimacy, favorable to the protection even of simple boyfriends, and the incessant evolution of social and individual life models, seem to open up unprecedented compensation prospects, extended also to the emotional relationships that are structured outside the normally coded parental relationships.
